Bhatt launches two-day anti-Modi campaign
Vadodara, Sep 18 (UNI) Former Gujarat minister Nalin Bhatt today began his two-day anti-Modi campaign here along with victims of the recent floods in the city.
Bhatt, who claimed that nearly 20,000 flood-affected families had been denied cash doles and other compensation by the government on flimsy grounds, will organise a mock no-confidence motion against Chief minister Narendra Modi at tomorrow's rally of the affected families outside the collectorate.
Though Mr Bhatt recently resigned from the party after being issued suspension order for his alleged anti-party activities, he has reportedly got full support from Modi's bete noire Keshubhai Patel and other senior dissident leaders, who are spearheading the anti-modi movement in the state.
Addressing a gathering of about 1000 slum dwellers from different parts of the city, Mr Bhatt said he resigned from the Modi-led Bhartiya Janata Party as the Chief Minister was no longer a comman man but a corporate man.
The former minister said he would continue to fight for the flood victims until the government announced compensation and cash doles to them as per the revenue department's resolution.
