Aurangabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on the NDA government for its failure to provide seeds, fertiliser and subsidy on diesel for farmers as announced by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, RJD today said it will start a massive agitation on September 22.

National general secretary of the party Shyam Rajak alleged here that the NDA government was not 'sensitive' on issues related to farmers and failed to take appropriate measures to tackle the situation arising out of drought like situation.

''Centre had allotted 1.54 lakh tonnes of fertiliser to the Bihar government but it failed to distribute it among the farmers,'' he added.

Mr Rajak said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced subsidy of Rs 10 per litre of diesel for the farmers but it failed to provide the assured succour to the toiling farmers, who were facing hardship, due to ongoing spate of drought in the state.

Mr Rajak pointed out that the state government could not set up any warehouses while the Centre had allotted the funds for establishing 16 warehouses for proper storage of food grains.

''Nitish government had failed on all fronts and its every announcement are political gimmicks aimed at misleading the people of the state,'' he added.
