M Karpagavinaygam new CJ of J'khand High Court

Ranchi, Sep 17 (UNI) Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi today administered oath of office to Mr M Karpagavinaygam as the new Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

Mr Justice Karpagavinaygam began his career in 1972 from Madras High Court and was elevated to the post of justice of that court on January 8, 1996.

The post of Chief Justice in Jharkhand was lying vacant following the retirement of Nelavoy Dhinkar on June 10, 2006.

Prominent among those present on the occasion were Coal Minister Sibu Soren, Union Food Processing Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, caretaker Chief Minister Arjun Munda and his immediate successor Madhu Koda, Supreme Court Judge (Justice) S B Sinha, Chief Secretary M K Mandal and DGP V D Ram.
