Duplicate pesticide manufacturing racket busted in Rajkot, 4 nabbed
Rajkot, Sep 17 (UNI) Police today claimed to have busted a racket involved in alleged manufacturing and selling of duplicate pesticide of a known brand.
A house at Morbi was raided and four people were arrested in this connection from different places in Gujarat, police said.
Krishna Agro Agency owner Dinesh Patel has lodged a complaint with the police stating spurious pesticide was allegedly being manufactured on a large scale in Rajkot under the popular brand 'Confidor'.
Police raided a house on Morbi road here on Friday night and arrested one person allegedly engaged in manufacturing and selling of duplicate pesticide.
They also seized a packing machine, wrappers of 'confidor', a dying machine and other material from the place worth Rs 1.20 lakh and arrested one Vipul Bodar.
During interrogation, Vipul named his other associates, which led to the arrest of three others -- Sandip (From Harij), Kashiram (from Dhrangadhra) and Chandubhai Kathiawadi (from Vadodara), who were engaged in marketing and selling of duplicate pesticides in Gujarat and the neighbouring Maharashtra.
