Chemplast start favourites, Hyderabad will miss Laxman

Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) With test star V V S Laxman ruled out with a hamstring injury, hosts Hyderabad have a daunting task against strong Chemplast XI, in the final of All India Moin-ud- Dowla Gold Cup cricket tournament beginning tomorrow.

Chemplast stunned favourites Mumbai, winning through spin of the coin when play was ruled out on the fourth day today, as both teams could not finish their first innings.

Hyderabad won the semi final against India Cements without their star player Laxman who was injured in the quarter final match. They would face a tough rival in Chemplast, who's line up bosstd of the upcoming talent, Tamil Nadu's Badrinath, Satish, Hemang K Badani and L Balaji, and Tinu Yohanan.

Hyderabad's main stay including A T Rayudu, Anirudh Singh, T Suman, N Arjun Yadav and wicket keeper Ibrahim Khaleel, would have the big responsibility of making a challenging total while bowlers Kaushik Reddy, I S Reddy, N P Singh and Agha Hussain should perform better to keep the opponents at bay.
