BJP to form human chain around Ludhiana City Centre on Sep 20

Chandigarh, Sep 17 (UNI) In protest against the alleged Ludhiana City Centre retail space selling scam, the Punjab BJP has decided to gherao the Centre's construction site on September 20.

State president Avinash Rai Khanna here today announced that senior BJP leaders, including sitting MLAs, MPs and former ministers and MLAs would lead, party workers to gherao the Ludhiana City Centre complex by forming a human chain around the complex.

The protest is aimed at registering BJP's resentment against the non-committal approach of the Punjab government in getting to the bottom of the truth and ordering a free and fair inquiry into the matter, Mr Khanna said.

Mr Khanna reiterated that a vigilance inquiry into the whole scam ordered by the Chief Minister was not enough. In fact, it was a mere eyewash.
