IOC meet Associate Banks on opening day of Atray tournament

Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Mumbai, skippered by Wasim Zafar will face All India Associate Banks, Bangalore in the opening match of the 13th All-India J P Atray Memorial Cricket Tournament commencing here tomorrow.

The tournament carries, apart from individual man of the match awards, winners and runners up trophies and a cash prize of Rs 1.20 lakh for the winners, Rs 60,000 for runners-up, Rs 35,000 for the third position and Rs 15,000 for the fourth position.

The tournament will be played on league-cum-knockout basis with each match of 50 overs under latest ICC rules for one- day cricket.

Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) panel of umpires and scorers will be officiating in all matches and SG Test balls will be used.

The final will be played on September 28 at Sector 3, Cricket Stadium, Panchkula due to the non availability of the PCA Cricket Stadium at Mohali because of the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
