Gov not to address K'taka legislature session

Bangalore, Sep 16: Karnataka Governor T N Chaturvedi will not attend the session of both the houses of State legislature convened for the first time outside the state capital in Belgaum from September 25.

Referring to media reports that the Governor had approved the session and was going to address the Raj Bhavan in a communique here today said ''due to prior engagements of the Governor he will not be in Belgaum during the session''.

The Communique, however, clarified that the Governor had summoned both the Karnataka Assembly and the Legislative Council at Belgaum on September 25.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy met Mr Chaturvedi for over 30 minutes in the Raj Bhavan and had invited him to the session.
