Two prisoners escape from Baripada jail
Baripada, Sep 14 (UNI) Two prisoners from the Baripada Circle jail escaped in early this morning.
Police said Mohammed Bablu alias Papu and Mohammed Nizamuddin who were brought from Jamshedpur in connection with a murder case had escaped from the jail by scaling the wall.
The Jail authorities here had earlier approached the court to grant permission to keep these two undertrials in a special cell, official sources said.
However, the court neither turned down the proposal nor granted permission, the sources added.
The district police have alerted all the police stations. Senior police officials have visited the jail and an intensive combing operation is on to nab them.
