Two killed as lorry hits hut

Anantapur, Sept 14: At least two people were killed and many injured, including a pregnant woman and a child, when a lorry rammed into a hut, early today.

According to the police, the driver of the lorry proceeding to Hyderabad from Chikballapur in Karnataka lost control of the vehicle when he tried to overtake a bus and hit the hut adjoining an under-construction hotel, in which workers were sleeping.

Police suspect at least six casualties. Only two bodies have been extricated so far.
