Three killed in political clash
Guntur, Sep 14 (UNI) Two Telugu Desam Party members and one Congress worker were killed in a political clash in Tumkota village, a naxal stronghold in the district, according to official sources.
Police have not yet visited the village, as they have to check for landmines en route.
Frequent clashes between the Congress and TDP have been witnessed in the village since the local body elections in July 2006.
Last night, TDP men allegedly attacked B C Saidayya of the Congress and killed him. In retaliation, the TDP's Venu was axed to death. Last Monday, P Narasimha Rao of the TDP was beaten to death, prompting his party colleagues to attack the houses of Congressmen.
