Sabarimala temple to open on Sept 16

Pathanamthitta, Sep 14 (UNI) The Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala will be opened on September 16 for 'poojas' in the Malayalam month of Kanni.

Melsanthi M Sukumaran Namboodiri will open the sanctum sanctorum at 1730 hrs on that day.

A 'sukrutha homam' and a 'santhi homam' will be performed the next day. 'Ashtadravya Ganapathi homam and 'Bhagavathi Seva' will be held from September 17 to 21. After a 'Leksharchana' on September 21, the temple will be closed at 2200 hrs.
