RSA Security appoints new India DC head
Bangalore, Sep 14: RSA Security Inc, a global expert in protecting online identities and digital assets, today announced the appointment of Mr Niranjan Maka as head of its India Development Centre here.
Prior to joining RSA Security, Mr Maka had worked for Tata Consultancy Services, ITC and Siebel Systems in various engineering and management positions, a company release here said.
The development centre had been set up to expand the company's presence in India and enhance its expert competencies in developing identity and access management solutions to meet the emerging demands of the international security market. It would function as an independent software development centre, sharing tools and best practices with RSA Security's other facilities. It planned to increase the headcount to 200 by 2007-end and 400 by 2008.
Company Vice-President of Engineering Stan Swiniarski said ''Niranjan brings RSA Security and more specifically to our Bangalore Development Centre, a great level of experience, enthusiasm and knowledge of the technology arena that will be critical in helping our company expand and dominate the market.''
