Presidential awardee doctor murdered in Meerut

Meerut, Sep 14 (UNI) A veteran homoeopathy practitioner, who was felicitated by the President seven years ago for his outstanding contribution to the field of medicine, was found murdered here today.

Police said Dr P Pandey, 70, was bludgeoned to death by a heavy object.

The doctor was found dead at his residence by his maid.

Dr Pandey used to live by himself after his wife's demise.

The police said the entry to the doctor's house seemed friendly and a property dispute may be the motive behind the murder.
