Police secure release of kidnapped realtor

Hyderabad, Sept 14: In a swift action, police secured the release of Realtor G Krishnam Raju, who was kidnapped from the up-front Banjara Hills Area, within 24 hours of his being taken captive and arrested six persons in this connection.

Mr Raju was bundled into a car along with his pet dog when he was on a morning walk yesterday. The kidnappers allegedly demanded Rs one crore for his release.

According to sources, the police had information on the realtor's tiff with some other builders on Tuesday and focused their investigations in the direction.

The mystery unravelled with the arrest of the six persons who had dispute over some land with Mr Raju.

However, his pet Pomeranian is yet to be traced.

Mr Raju retired as a Superintending Engineer in the Irrigation Department and started real estate business.
