Online marketing on the rise in small cities: eBay
Bangalore, Sep 14 (UNI) Online shopping, increasingly being adopted in Class B and C cities, was fuelling the rapid growth of e-Commerce in the country, eBay Country Manager Gautam Thakar said today.
Speaking to newspersons after releasing the eBay e-Commerce Guide here, he said that in India, e-Commerce shoppers preferred fixed price format for a majority of lifestyle and entertainment category purchases. A high proportion of auctions was seen in jewellery and technology categories where youth were looking for a great deal and auctions offer the mechanism of price discovery.
Mr Thakar said eBay, country's leading online marketplace, offered best consumer experience in an environment driven by high performance, constant innovation, team work and entrepreneurial opportunity.
The e-Commerce guide spelled out benefits of e-Commerce, profiles of sellers, buyers and industry statistics, apart from new technology trends, he added.
