NSCN(K) asked to revoke quit notice to Tangkhul
Imphal, Sept 14: A large number of organisations in Manipur have called upon the NSCN(K) to reconsider their quit notice served on Tangkhul Naga tribes here.
Previously the NSCN(K) had asked the Tangkhul tribes to quit Nagaland.
The United Naga Council (UNC), Memei Hoho and twelve other Naga organisations of the state have appealed to the NSCN(K) not to take such a 'harsh' decision, sources said.
Naga People Organisation (NPO) president M Dilli, Zeliangrong Union president D Dikambui and presidents of several other tribes have appealed to NSCN(K) to reconsider the decision on humanitarian grounds.
They also appealed for communal harmony in the state and requested all to stay away from communal politics.
