NMFDC to help small entrepreneurs: Shastri

Howrah, Sep 14 (UNI) National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC), a national apex financing body for minorities, has assisted about 50,000 self-employment projects in West Bengal.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, NMDFC Managing Director R N Shastri said the agency provides loans through State Channelising Agencies(SCAs) nominated by the state governments and NGOs.

''We try to solve problems of small entrepreneurs,'' he said.

Currently NMFDC has 34 operational SCAs in 24 states and two Union Territories and a network of more than 150 NGOs.
