Nitish disapproves Jharkhand development

Patna, Sep 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today expressed his disapproval to the political developments in neighbbouring Jharkhand culminating in a change of guards.

Reacting to the reports of fall of NDA government, Mr Kumar attributed the developments to the ''small size of the legislature''.

''Any state legislature should have at least 100 members so that change of floor by a small section of legislators does not affect the ruling majority'', he argued.

A fractured verdict and acquiring the power by independents and small parties to tilt the balance of the ruling coalition were the main reasons behind unstability in Jharkhand, he contended.

''Who can guarantee that the dispensation provided by UPA would last long?'' he asked.

While his attention was drawn to the reported role played by railway minister Lalu Prasad in dislodging the NDA government, Mr Kumar quipped,''Mr Lalu Prasad believes in horse trading while I repose my confidence in the people.'' UNI BNG PC RL HS2137
