Munda's resignation is no setback to NDA: Advani

New Delhi, Sep 14 (UNI) Former Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today asserted that the Jharkhand development was in no way a setback to the NDA.

"It is no setback to us", he said, talking to newspersons after a book release function at the Vice President's House this evening.

Mr Advani said the fact that the BJP-led coalition ran the Government against heavy odds and the game plan of the Opposition for more than one and a half years was "an achievement".

The BJP leader criticised the Congress and its allies ''who always indulge in destablising the opposition governments in states.'' He also regretted the controversy over the singing of the national song, Vande Mataram, in schools on September 7, and hoped the Government would not create another mix-up over the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the First War of Independence of 1857.
