Mulayam govt works for capitalists: Raj Babbar

Kanpur, Sep 14: Suspended Samajwadi Party MP and cine-star Raj Babbar today lashed out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly working in the interests of capitalists at the cost of common man.

''The state government is following anti-people policies for vested gains,'' the Jan Morcha convenor said.

Mr Babbar was in town to support an agitational programme against the Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) demolition drive at Mohan Nagar locality here.

''The rich of today must have owned smaller houses in the past.

That does not mean, they can now demolish poor people's dwellings,'' he said.

Once a close confidante of the SP supremo, Mr Babbar accused Mr Yadav of not being concerned with the welfare of the masses.

The Jan Morach leader also exhorted the people to root out the Mulayam government in the Assembly polls, due next year.
