To Start receiving timely alerts please follow the below steps:

Monsoon active; heavy rains lash Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 14 (UNI) The South West Monsoon has been active over Kerala and Lakshadweep with rain and thundershowers occurring at most places.

The highest rainfall of 13 cm was recorded at Kudaloor followed by Karipur airport, six cm, the Local Met office said here.

Perinthalmanna, Kozhikode and Kozha received five cm of rain, it said, adding, Kannur, Quilandi and Amenidweep got four cm.

The Met office warned of isolated heavy rain in Kerala and Lakshwadeep in the next 48 hrs.
