Meenas rally against Gujjar in Rajasthan

Bhilwara, Sep 14 (UNI) Objecting the tampering with the reservation policy,the Meenas in Rajasthan today demanded that Gujjars should remain confined to the OBC list and not be included in the Scheduled Tribe list.

Janjati Aarakshan Bachao Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti led by state chief Narulal Bhil handed over a memorandum to the District Collector for Chief Minister and Governor demanding the dissolution of Cabinet sub-committee formed specially to study the demands of Gujjar community.

The Meenas aslo demanded the suspension of Collector and Superintendent of police for the Hindon incident on September 3, where the Gujjar stir turned violent, resulting in destruction of railway property.

The state capital also witnessed a Meena rally at Vidyadhar Nagar stadium which was attended by around 5000 people of the community.
