Madhu Koda to be new Chief Minister of Jharkhand
Ranchi, Sep 14 (UNI) The UPA today unanimously elected Mr Madhu Koda, an Independent MLA, to be the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand.
Mr Koda became a unanimous choice, Ms Noor Banu (Cong), in-charge of Jharkhand told UNI and added that they would go to the Rajbhavan to stake claim to form the alternative government.
Immediately after Chief Minister Arjun Munda tendered resignation to Governor Syed Sibtey Razi, the UPA embarked on parleys that referred the selection of its leader to chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
However, Ms Gandhi asked the state level leaders to take a final decision.
