Lightning kills 13 in MP
Bhopal, Sep 14 (UNI) Thirteen persons, including two women died and seven were injured after being struck by lightning in separate incidents in Madhya Pradesh over the past two days.
Furnishing details of the fatalities in Dhar district last evening, police said Sukhlal (35) was killed at Umri village, Magan (45) at Dehri village and Anubai (60) at Piparia village. Atar Singh (25) died at Manawar village and Budhia (23) was killed at Mitrapura village.
The corpses were handed over to relatives after a post mortem.
A UNI report from Badwani said eight persons died and an equal number were injured after lightning struck them at three places in the district. Three girls and a boy were killed and two hurt after lightning struck them while they were standing on a doorstep at Rajmali village yesterday.
In a similar incident at Jalkheda village, two persons -- including a woman -- died and five were injured. The injured, including three women and a boy, were admitted to a hospital at Palsud. Two persons were killed by lightning on Tuesday also.
