'Kaju India-2006' from tomorrow
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 14 (UNI) The Cashew Export Promotion Council of India (CEPCI) is organising 'Kaju India-2006', a three-day international Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) here from tomorrow, Golden Jubilee Celebrations Committee Chairman R Pratap Nair said today.
Talking to media persons, he said representatives of cashew buyers abroad, salters and retailers abroad as well as brokers, quality experts, consultants and other supporting services, besides Indian exporters also would attend the meeting, which was organised as part of the council's golden jubilee celebrations.
Mr Nair said eminent persons working in the cashew industry would speak on their perception of the emerging global cashew scenario.
The meet, to be inaugurated by Union Minister of state for Commerce and Industry Jairam Ramesh, was also meant to unveil the objectives of Vision-2020 and create a road map to market the product all over the world at competitive rates, he said adding that Kerala Labour Minister P K Gurudasan would also attend the meeting.
Union Minister Oscar Fernandez would inaugurate the valedictory sesson on September 17.
CEPCI Chairman Walter D'Souza and Vice-chairman Baby Oommen also participated in the press meet.
