Hip replacement for oldest man Habib Miya
Jaipur, Sep 14 (UNI) Habib Miya, considered to be one of the oldest man in the world, has fractured his hip bone and will be operated upon here tomorrow.
Habib Miya, who celebrated his 136th birthday on May 20 this year, was admitted to the orthopaedic trauma ward at the government-run Sawai Mansingh Hospital yesterday. His hip bone was fractured when he slipped and fell down while going to the bathroom on Tuesday.
Orthopaedic Dr R K Varma, who will operate upon Habib Miya, said that he suffers from osteoporosis and has fluctuating blood pressure.
Habib Miya will have hip replacement operation tomorrow morning.
A Limca Book of Records holder, Habib Miya, is feeling well today and is even sitting up on the bed with support, informed nurse Priyanka Sharma.
All investigations have been carried out today at the hospital.
The news of his illness has brought many well-wishers to the hospital, thus ensuring his status as one of Jaipur's most prized citizens.
