Haryana to provide jobs to one member of each family
Rewari, Sep 14 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said employment opportunities would be available for at least one member of each family in the state in the next five years.
A number of steps were being taken by the state government to generate employment opportunities for the purpose, he said while addressing a public meeting here after dedicating to the people a Rs 16 crore Rail Over Bridge on Rewari-Narnaul road.
He also inaugurated a Youth Hostel constructed at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore and paid floral tributes to Rao Tula Ram.
Pointing out that it was not possible to provide government jobs to all unemployed youth, Mr Hooda said the issue could be resolved by setting up of big industrial units. Both domestic industrial houses and multi-national companies, were now more inclined to set up ventures in the state, he added.
He said that never before in the 40-year history of the state, any other government had made so much investment for developmental works as had been made by the present government in such a short period.
Mr Hooda said leaders of the opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) had been opposing the construction of the Rs 260 crore Hansi-Butana-Link canal to ensure equitable distribution of canal water in the state in the interest of the farming community.
The same leaders, he said, had been creating hindrances in the construction of Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal, the life-line of Haryana.
