SINGAPORE, Sep 14 (Reuters) Gold gained on Thursday as Tokyo futures rebounded to track a firmer crude oil price .
-- Spot gold rose to $588.40/589.90 an ounce from $587.60/589.10 late in New York on Wednesday.
-- Investec Australia pegged support at $575 an ounce and resistance at $596 an ounce.
-- The benchmark contract on the Tokyo gold futures , currently August 2007, rose 32 yen per gram to 2,247 yen ($19.10), having fallen by the 60-yen daily limit the previous day.
-- The euro was little changed at $1.2692 .
-- Silver inched up to $11.12/11.19 an ounce, from $11.05/11.12 an ounce in New York.
-- Platinum rose to $1,183/1,188 an ounce from $1,177/1,182 an ounce.
-- Palladium eased to $313/318 an ounce from $314/318 late in New York.
