Exclusive gym for women launched

Bangalore, Sep 14 (UNI) Contours Express, one of the leading fitness chains in the world, today announced the launch of its first all-women gym in the city.

With over 600 clubs globally, Contours Express offered women a customised strength training and CardioFit circuit workout where members were guaranteed to see continued results, Ms Chandra Gopalan, Director of Body in Harmony India, the master franchisee for Counters Express, told newspersons here.

She said the company had made an initial investment of Rs two crore in the project.

Called the '29 progressive', each gym was expected to cost Rs 30 lakhs and over the next three years, around 300 gyms would spring up in South and Western India, she said.

The workout schedule lasted just 29 minutes and this would help Indian women better themsleves inside and out, she added.

In addition to working out on weight bearing equipment with positive and negative resistance, Contours Express equipment was also designed to fit the contour of a women's physique, Ms Gopalan said.
