DTO arrested in Bihar

Motihari, Sep 14 (UNI) A district transport officer (DTO) posted in East Champaran district was arrested today after he was caught red handed while accepting bribes in cash, police claimed.

Police Superintendent Sunil Kumar said a police team raided the transport office here and found the DTO Raj Mangal Ram and his assistant Mustaq Ansar accepting Rs 20,000 as bribe from a truck owner on promise to show undue favour.

Both Mr Ram and Mr Ansar were taken into custody, he added.
