Car bomb in Baghdad kills one, wounds eight
Baghdad, Sept 14: A car bomb outside a photography studio in northwestern Baghdad killed one person and wounded eight today, an Interior Ministry source said.
All the victims were civilians, said the source, adding the target of the attack was not immediately clear.
Iraq has seen a surge in violence over the past six months, often led by sectarian death squads. Several bombings usually occur each day across the country.
Yesterday, police found the bodies of 60 people, who had been tortured and shot, scattered throughout the capital.
