Call off strike : Ramadass urges JIMPMER employees

Pondicherry, Sep 14 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Parliamentary Party Leader M Ramadass today urged the striking Jipmer employees to call off their agitation and resume duty to protect the interests of the patients.

In a statement here today, Prof Ramadass explained the benefits of autonomous status for Jipmer and said the people below poverty line would continue to get free treatment.

He also assured the staff that he would take steps to protect their interests and promised to remove any clause which they felt would adversely affect them.
