CADD Centre eyes expansion, new centre opened in Qatar

Chennai, Sep 14 (UNI) CADD Centre, Asia's largest training institute for Computer Aided Designing, has opened its 166th centre in Doha, Qatar, in partnership with MACE WLL, a leading Middle East-based outsourcing company.

CADD Centre is the first Indian Software Training Institute to open a centre in Qatar, a company release here, said, adding the new training centre would start with 12 workstations on 5000 sq ft space.

It expects to train about 400 people during the first year of operations and the major portion of this training would come from corporate houses at Qatar.

CADD Centre Qatar would work on placement of Indian engineers in Middle East region. It would source, train and make them ready for employment in the Middle East.

It would also work as the placement arm for CADD Centre India and act as a bridge for Indian engineers for Gulf employment, the release said.

The centre would offer courses on CAD, Project Management, PMP preparatory programs and Architectural CADD. It would set up its own training operations in UAE and Kuwait early next year, the release added.

CADD Centre, which had its centres in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Bahrain, was also planning to open more centres in the Gulf region. Currently, with the launch of its Qatar centre, CADD Centre's overseas network covers five foreign countries.

'With the boom in civil engineering, manufacturing and petrochemicals, there is a huge demand in United Arab Emirates, for training on CAD and Project management products,' said CADD Centre Training Services Pvt. Ltd Director Mr Karaiadi Selvan.

He said the company's training programmes were successful at Bahrain and the company was planning to open at least 10 training centres in Middle East in the next 12 to 18 months period.

'We expect to touch 200 plus training centres before the end of this financial year', he added.
