Jalandhar, Sep 14 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state general secretary Rajendra Singh Bhandhari said the issue of fielding party MP Navjot Singh Sidhu against Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh was yet to figure formally before the leadership.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Bhandhari said that the issue was yet to come up for formal discussion but nothing is impossible in the politics.

He hinted that the party might decide at an appropriate time on its stand over the question of appointment of deputy chief minister if the Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD)-BJP combine came to power after the next assembly elections.

He said that discussions on election related bilateral issue between the two ally parties are going on smoothly at the SAD-BJP Coordination Committee level. Three meetings of the committee had already been held and the fourth meeting is slated for September 16, he added.

Mr Bhandhari also sought resignation of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on moral grounds, in the wake of alleged multi-crore scam in Ludhiana's City Center project.

He also demanded a CBI inquiry in this scam.
