Betting racket busted

Ujjain, MP, Sep 14 (UNI) Five persons were arrested today for allegedly betting Rs 50 lakh on the India-West Indies cricket encounter for the DLF Cup at Kuala Lumpur.

''Following a tip-off, a flat in Mahananda Nagar locality was raided and the accused were caught red handed while dealing over a computer and cellphone. A youth Deep Nai was managing the betting centre. Sixteen cellphones and betting material were also seized,'' said SP Jaideep Prasad.
