Azad advises students to pursue education with a mission
Rajouri, Sep 14 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has called for imparting high quality education to make students self-reliant and confident.
Mr Azad said this while addressing students and faculty members after inaugurating a staff quarter complex and a hostel at the campus of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University at Dhanore here yesterday.
He advised the youth to pursue studies with a mission in order to prove their mettle in every field. Students now-a-days only aim at seeking government jobs without realizing the real purpose of education, which in turn churn out a lot of unemployed and unskilled youths, he said.
This system has to be replaced by a viable and competent educational machanism which would make the students worthy of getting jobs in the market, he added.
Stressing on diversifying the education system he said the pressing need of time is to remove the misconception held by people regarding agriculture, horticulture and industrial labour sector so that an educated person get an ample opportunity of employment.
Clarifying that it is not possible for the government to provide jobs to each and every educated person, the Chief Minister advised the youths to look for an alternative employment avenue like trade, business, labour and other sectors.
