Amway launches Gift Catalogue-2006, mulls to enter in Ladakh

Jammu, Sep 14 (UNI) Amway India, the leading direct selling Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, today launched fourth edition of Gift Catalogue here in view of offing festive season and set a target of moblising a business of about Rs 35 crores in Northern region of the country.

Mr Srinivas Rao Associate Vice-President (North) Amway, while unveiling the cataogue with new range of products said "The launch of catalogue category has been timed with the festive season". The catalogue include core line products like Green tea, Health and beauty pack, cosmetic packs for masculine and feminine and children health pack, toys and crockery while in the non-core line segment it has bed furnishing set, attractive flower base and health drinks etc, he added.

Highlighting the company's achievements he said that Amway had grown from Rs. 91 crores company in 1998-99, the first year of its operation in Indian market, to Rs 633 crores in 2004-05, a seven fold increase in last seven years. "We are confident that the new slew of products will catapult the company to the Rs 700 crores bracket by the end of current fiscal, he added.

About the products range Mr Rao said the company has 75 products in its fold at present in personal care, home care, nutrition and wellness, cosmetics and is likely to introduce atleast ten new products in Nutition and Cosmetics segments in near future.

About the company's performance in Jammu and kashmir he said the company has shown high potential of growth in the state. Besides opening an office in Jammu and recently in Srinagar, company is planning to venture into Leh and Ladakh region of the state soon.
