Additional facilities during Ramzan

Hyderabad, Sep 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed officials to make all necessary arrangements for Ramzan and Id-ul-fitr in the state.

Attending a review meeting with Minister for Information and Public Relations Mohammad Ali Shabbir, Minister for Minorities Mohd Fareeduddin, Home Minister K Jana Reddy, Municipal Administration Minister Koneru Ranga Rao, Chief Secretary J Harinarayana and senior officials here, Dr Reddy stressed the need for taking elaborate steps as the festivals of Dassera and Diwali fell in the same month.

An official release here said apart from providing uninterrupted water supply, he stressed the need for more bus services during Ramzan.

The Chief Minister also directed the Civil Supplies Officials to supply additional quantity of sugar besides providing all essential commodities, particularly wheat and sugar.

He exhorted officials to make necessary arrangements to ensure law and order.

The meeting also decided to accord permission to all Muslim employees working in government departments to leave office early by one hour during the month of Ramzan, the release added.
