30 injured in road accident

Machilipatnam, Sep 14 (UNI) About 30 passengers, 14 of them seriously, were injured in a road accident near Anasagaram village on Machilipatnam-Pune National High Way No 9, in Krishna district this evening.

Police said the mishap occurred in a collision between two Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) buses- one coming from Vijayawada to Nalgonda and the other proceeding to Vijayawada from Jaggiahpet.

The condition of the bus drivers were stated to be critical.

The passengers who suffered serious injuries were shifted to Vijayawada University General Hospital and the other injured were admited to Nandigama Government Hospital, police added.
