Jaipur, Sep 13 (UNI): Authorities of Jaipur's prestigious St. Xaviers School has decided to skip CBSE sports tournaments in future unless disciplinary action is taken against students of a Udaipur school for beating up their players during a recent football match.

Father Jose Jacob, principal of St. Xaviers School here has written to the CBSE to take action against students of B.N. Public School in Udaipur for allegedly beating their players during a Sept 9 match in the CBSE Cluster X Football Tournament.

Father Jacob says the moment Xavier students scored the first goal against the host school after half time, they started beating the players badly. Five of St Xaviers students were injured seriously but the B N School authorities did not even think of taking action against the team.

The police had to intervene in the on-field scuffle between the students. St Xaviers team manager Mohit Rajoria informed the team coach Ranbir Singh Rana, who in turn informed Pushkar Bohra, sports official with CBSE.

Mr Bohra then had a talk with the B N school principal, who made his students say sorry to Xaviers' manager. This was done more with a view to hush up the matter.
