Coastguard rescues 12 fishermen stranded off Morjim beach

Panaji, Sep 13 (UNI) The Coastguard rescued twelve fishermen who were stranded on a rocky terrain in two boats off the Morjim beach in north Goa today.

The fishermen were later handed over to the fisheries association safely, according to the coastguard officials.

On an alert, a patrolling vessel and a helicopter rushed to the spot. The helicopter had lowered an expert diver on one of the stranded boats and guided them to safety.
