AI selects Thales for their upgradation in services
Mumbai, Sep 12 (UNI) Air India today announced that they have awarded the contract for installation of the advanced passenger entertainment system on it's 23 B-777 aircraft, which will be inducted in its fleet from February 2007 onwards to Ms Thales at a cost of USD 70 million.
This would comprise the Thales top series digital audio and video-on-demand entertainment system at every seat, with a 23 inch and 15 inch display screens in the first and business class seats respectively, and a 10.6 inch display screen in the economy class seat, an Air India release explained.
Air India says that every screen would be a wide and touch screen and that each seat will also have a noise cancelling module for high fidelity sound and laptop power.
The installation of the system would mark a major upgradation for Air India in terms of providing better world-class services infight.
