Venus Remedies bags export order from Ukraine

New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) Drug maker Venus Remedies today said it has received a bulk order from the Ukrainian government for supply of anti-cancer medicines.

However, the company did not give any financial details.

The company has already received the advance against the first consignment to be despatched out of this order, a company statement said.

This order will give further impetuous to the company's exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. Venus Remedies expects additional business, other than this tender from Ukraine, due to the GMP certification.

Last month, Venus Remedies had been given a go-ahead for launching its third innovative R&D developed product after completion of the clinical trials and related studies, by the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI).

The fixed-dose combination (FDC) drug of latest generation Cephalosporin with an amino-glycoside would be launched for the first time in the world and in India very shortly by the company.

Venus would enter marketing tie-ups with leading Indian pharma companies for the launch of the FDC in the Rs 400 crore domestic market.
