TRS to launch 'Orugallu Poru Garjana' at Warangal on Sep 25
Hyderabad, Sep 11 (UNI) Enthused by the success of 'Samara Shankaravam' at Siddipet, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti, championing the cause of separate Telangana state, will launch 'Orugallu Poru Garjana' (battle cry) at Warangal on September 25 to mount pressure on the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre for the creation of Telangana state.
TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao and his deputy A Narendra, who resigned from the Manmohan Singh Government last month, would use the occasion to 'expose' the Congress, which was 'dilly-dallying' in taking a decision on the issue, TRS general secretary Prakash told UNI.
Ahead of the Warangal meeting, the TRS would involve the students of colleges across the region in the movement for a separate state, he said, adding that students committee with the 'blessings' of professors, lending moral support to the movement, would be formed in all the ten Telangana districts.
''The mood is upbeat in the party as lakhs of people voluntarily came for the Siddipet rally,'' first in a series of meetings being organised by the party to convince UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi over the people's 'overwhelming' support for Telangana state, he informed.
Later, the party would step up campaign across the state through novel agitations, including ringing of bells at a particular time in all the villages to keep up the tempo, till the goal was achieved, he added.
