TN CM should initiate action against Vaiko: Narayanaswamy
Pondicherry, Sep 11 (UNI) All India Congress Committee general secretary V Narayanasamy, MP, today urged Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to initiate action against MDMK leader Vaiko for openly supporting the banned LTTE.
Addressing a press conference here, he said while there was no different opinion that the cause of Eelam Tamils should be supported, Mr Vaiko under the pretext of protecting the Tamils in Sri Lanka was talking in support of the LTTE, and demanded that Mr Vaiko be arrested.
Referring to BJP criticising the Congress in connection with the Malegoan bomb blasts, he said the BJP, instead of finding fault, should cooperate with the government to wipe out terrorism.
On the issue of granting autonomous status to JIPMER, he said Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry should hold talks with the striking employees, keeping the welfare of patients in mind as well as protecting the interest of the employees and run the administration efficiently.
The Ministry should find an amicable settlement on the JIPMER issue without political intervention, he added.
