Ten Sports to re-telecast Paes' US Grand Slam win on Tuesday

Mumbai, Sep 11 (UNI) Ten Sports will be showing a repeat telecast of Leander Paes' Grand Slam victory at the US Open tommorow at 1900 hrs.

This repeat telecast will be shown in place of the live hockey telecast between Japan and Argentina, a TEN Sports release issued here today stated.

Seeded sixth in this tournament, Paes and partner Martin Damm of the Czech Republic were underdogs going in to the match against top seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi. The pair had to battle back from a set down to emerge victorious in an epic match that spanned 2 hours and 35 minutes.

The star Indian player had twice previously made to the final of the US Open in 1999 and 2004 without lifting the trophy so fans will be delighted to see him make it third time lucky, the release added.
