Preserve Hindu religion to fight Islamic terrorism: Sudarshan
Pune, Sep 11 (UNI) Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS) Chief K Sudarshan called upon the people to ward off threats arising from Islamic terrorism, westernisation and communalism by building a strong Hindu Nation.
Participating in the birth centenary celebrations of the second RSS chief Madhav Sadashiv Golalkar, the RSS leaders said Indians were losing their identity and religion. They said the recent bomb blasts in Mumbai and Malegaon were a result of Islamic terrorism and only by preserving the Hindu religion and identity we can these forces be fought, they said.
The opposition to 'Vande Mataram' by saying it was 'incorrect history' went against the Indian culture and civilisation, they said.
RSS Chief K Sudershan said ''The world is on the verge of a third world war and only a Hindu nation can save us and our identity.
Efforts to make the country a Hindu nation will begin from 2011,'' he said.
BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi criticised Congress president Sonia Gandhi for not attending the Vande Mataram centenary programme. He said since her roots were Italian, she did not believe India to be her mother country.
