Miscreants loot Rs ten lakh killing SBI guard

Jamtara, Sep 11 (UNI) Armed miscreants today looted nearly Rs ten lakh after killing the guard of SBI Nala branch in Jharkhand's Jamtara district.

The incident occurred while the cash was being taken to the branch office from the main office here, police said.

The sources said five motorcycle borne miscreants attacked the vehicle, carrying the cash, by firing bullets and looted away the money after killing the guard.

They also injured the cashier and another bank employee who were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital.

The guard, however, succembed to his injuries, police said.

A case had been registered in this regard and search was on to nab the culprits.
