Indo Rama Synthetics to double capacity to 6 lakh tonnes pa

New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) Indo Rama Synthetics today said it has undertaken expansion of its total production capacity to 6,00,000 tonnes per annum from 3,00,000 tonnes per annum.

The expansion, in the form of two continuous polymerisation (CP) plants of the 1,50,000 tonnes per annum capacity each one for Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) production and another for Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF) production at the existing site in Maharashtra, has already begun and nearing completion.

The company also informed that the POY plant has been commissioned and the trial production in the company new POY lines had commenced from yesterday, a company statement said.

Accordingly, the overall Polyester capacity of the company stands increased to 1200 tonnes per day -- 4,50,000 tonnes per annum.
